I purchased the Minka-Aire Fan in white so it would blend into the ceiling - and it does. It's quiet and circulates the air well. I highly recommend this fan if you're looking for something contemporary.

"Wow - you found a fan that not only looks good in your modern home, but is silent and effective" That was a comment from a friend of mine who hates ceiling fans. I needed to add 3 fans to my newly remodeled home, so scoured the web to find one that I thought looked good, was quiet and worked. I found it. I've been using it all winter to push the heat down from my vaulted ceiling, and to keep the air circulating in the house. I love it. I only have two complaints. First, in one room the only light in the room is from the fan, and I'm not happy with it in that it's not bright enough. For the other two, I've got the light figures on them, but just never turn them on. The only other issue is that it's so quiet, sometime I forget to turn it off when I go to bed .... guess I just need to get a timer switch :o)

I bought 2 of these fans on the strength of owning another Minka fan in another home. I love this fan--simple lines, unobtrusive light, easy to control, quiet. It has a dimmable light and can be reversed, making it very flexible to use. It's great for me!
